Evan Lordan

I am a Freelance Director and Theatre Maker currently based in the UK and Ireland and also co-founder of Conflicted Theatre Company.

During lockdown I was lucky enough to direct 62 Sperm Whales (2020) on the Bristol Arts Channel. Because of our sizable and extremely talented technical crew and cast we were really able to push the edges of live online theatrical performances and develop extremely high production values in lockdown conditions.

Previous to this I was the Associate Director on Touching the Void (2018/20), working with David Greig & Tom Morris. Touching the Void opened at The Bristol Old Vic, toured the UK & Asia, before moving to London’s West End. I have also toured Ireland & the U.S. with The Abbey Theatre (Dublin).

I have directed & devised numerous original productions for Conflicted Theatre & co-wrote our most recent show, Fiji (2019), which was performed at The Omnibus Theatre, London, receiving 5 Star reviews, along with a Commendation from Off West End/The Offies.

I completed an MA in Directing at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and my studies there were made possible thanks to an Artists’ Bursary Award from Cork City Arts Office.
